We’ve been exploring the world of UK grooming events this year, and Sunday the 7th of September was a day to remember… GroomFest 2025!
This was Team Pata’s first time visiting the event and let’s just say, we were not disappointed! If you weren’t able to make it or want to know what we go up to, here’s our recap from the day.
We may have been a Gold Sponsor of the event, but first place goes to the industry experts who ran some fantastic seminars. To name just two, Sally Hart talked about burnout (we have something to help, but more on that later), while Louisa Tandy taught groomers how to cut time, not corners.
We also learned a lot from the amazing pros who work alongside animals every day. With your insights, we can keep developing a pet care booking platform that meets your growing needs, so thank you for sharing your experiences with us.
It wouldn’t be a grooming event without a little shopping and a lot of stylish pets! All the stands were packed with products tailored to the latest grooming trends — personalised treatment plans; refillable bottles; and ‘furgrance’ sprays for spa days.
Between the humans in bathrobes and dogs with updos, everyone was dressed for the occasion. We saw pups with colourful dye jobs or ponytails, and loved giving them scritches while they enjoyed a brief respite from the busy event. Don’t worry, they got treats too!
From familiar faces who already swear by Pata to introductions with new pet groomers, our stand was the place to be. We heard stories of no-shows, missed payments, endless calls and more, so it’s no wonder groomers are burnt out!
When we weren’t shaking hands (and paws), we wanted to give professionals hope that they can run a successful business and still have a personal life. Many a demo showed them how our booking system can help save time, reduce admin, and make managing appointments easy.
